Community Services Committee Revived

Hey everyone, the standing committee over the Education Sub-Committee has been revived. Read an announcment from the new chair of the Community Services Committee, Enrique Fernandez, below.

The first meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 4th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Mar Vista Gardens Recreation Center. I'd love for Education Sub-Committee members to attend in order to: a) make sure our sub-committee gets to continue as is and b) to push for the DRNC to sponsor our next educational forum tentatively slated for early December.

Message from Enrique Fernandez:

Dear Board Members and DRNC Stakeholders,

I want to thank you all for your support and commitment, and specifically for volunteering to become standing members of the Community Service Committee.

I believe this committee is going to make a lasting impact in the Del Rey neighborhood as we seek to meet a wide range of the community's needs.
We are beginning an ambitious journey to make DRNC a role model to all the other Neighborhood Councils.
